10 Becker Student-Athletes of Men’s and Women’s Ice Hockey Teams Earn AHCA All-American Scholar Honors

LEICESTER, Mass. – 10 Becker student-athletes of the men's and women's ice hockey teams have been named "Krampade All-American Scholars" by the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) for attaining a 3.6 GPA each semester and participating in 40% of their school's games during the 2017-18 season.

 

Six Becker men's ice hockey players earned honors, while four women's ice hockey players were recognized:

The names of 821 Division II-Ill men and women were released this week, a month after 489 of their Division I counterparts were announced. In the first year of this program a year ago, a total of 1,261 athletes reached this standard. The 2017-18 total is 1,310. A small number of waivers to the 40% participation requirement was granted due to injury or for back-up goal tenders.
