Michael Sarno

Mike Sarno brings over 20 years of NCAA Division III coaching experience to Becker. Mike spent 16 years at Framingham State College where he is the all-time leader in wins. He led the Rams to seven ECAC tournaments. In the off season Sarno is also an assistant coach in the prestigious Cape Cod League with the Harwich Mariners. During his coaching tenure in the cape league, Mike has rubbed shoulders with some of Major League Baseball's finest young stars such as Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Craig Hansen and San Francisco Giants All-Star Pitcher and two time  National League CY Young Award winner Tim Lincecum. Sarno helped coach the Mariners to the 2008 Cape League Championship. In 2009 Sarno coached Becker to their first New England Collegiate Conference Baseball Championship. The Hawks advanced on to their first ECAC tournament, getting eliminated in the semifinals.

Devin Caron

Devin was a four year starter at Becker College where he earned North Atlantic Conference First Team honors three times. Devin was also the recipient of the Coaches Award three times. Devin finished his playing career at Becker College with a .316 batting average. Devin is the all time RBI leader at Becker with 110. Devin is ranked 2nd all time at Becker College with 131 career hits. Devin had a very successful high school career in Maine. Coach Caron earned All State and All League three times. Devin also helped guide his high school team to three state Championships. During the summer Devin plays for the Worcester Blacksox in the Hockomock League; which is a wooden bat league in Central Mass.

 

Matt Tittle

A 2003 graduate of Becker College, Matt has served in the athletic department since 2005. As a student at Becker, Matt was member of the baseball team for four years, serving as the team captain during his junior and senior years. In 2003, Matt was the vice president of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee.Matt is in charge of the daily publicity and media relations for Becker's 16 intercollegiate sports, which compete as part of NCAA Division III and the New England Collegiate Conference. Matt's duties include daily contact with media, producing publications, maintaining statistics for all sports, and daily maintenance of the athletic department's Web site, www.beckerhawks.com.

Tittle is a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and the Eastern College Athletic Conference Sports Information Directors Association (ECAC-SIDA).

Dan Briand

After a great career as a player at Becker College, Dan Briand enters his first season on the Hawks coaching staff. Coach Briand will try to build upon the Hawks 2009 NECC Championship and help take the program to the next level. As a player Dan was a team leader as captain during both his junior and senior seasons. Coach Briand was a recipient of the Coaches Award in 2009 and was also selected 1st team all NECC in 2009. Dan finished his career 3rd all time in games played at Becker College. Coach Briand not only has valuable experience as a player, but also has been an assistant coach for Northbridge Legion Baseball Post 343 for the last four summers.
