Equestrian Earns Second Place at Brown University Show

The Becker College Equestrian Team competed at Windswept Farm in Warren, Rhode Island, hosted by Brown University. Becker tied URI taking home the Reserve Champion College ribbon, right behind the winner Roger Williams University.

Freshman Meghan Burkhardt showing open flat earned 5th place and novice over fences earned a 4th place.

Junior co-captain Catherine Merrill showing in the intermediate division placed 3rd in both her flat and over fences class.

Junior co-captain Terise Cole showed in intermediate flat and novice fences.

Freshman Danielle Richards showing in the novice division placed 5th in her flat class, and earned the blue 1st place ribbon in her over fences class.

Sophomore Larissa Melia had a superb day, showing in the novice division for the last time, placing 3rd on the flat and 1st over fences, earning her the reserve high point rider of the show and also qualifying for Regionals. She has now moved up and will be showing in the intermediate division.

Sophomore Kirby Kojabashan, showing in the novice division took home the blue ribbon in her flat class and earned a 6th over fences.
All showing in the walk trot canter division, Hailee Klapproth, Bella Brogal, Alex Holmstrem and Rachael Miller all won 1st place in their flat classes. Joseph Denson also pointed out of his beginner walk trot canter class and is now moving up and will be showing in advanced walk trot canter division.
Also showing in the walk trot canter division, Joseph Denson earned a 2nd place ribbon and Katelyn Maclean placed 3rd. Freshmen Sara Elbadwi and Dana Williams placed 4th.
In the walk trot division Felicia Siclaria took home the 1st place ribbon, Danielle Craven and Justin Gilbert both placed 3rd in their class. Stephanie Hanson and Tyler Downer both placed 5th.
Congratulations Danielle Richards, Kirby Kojabashan,Hailee Klapproth, Bella Brogal, Alex Holmstrem, Rachael Miller, Felicia Siclaria and Larissa Melia for all winning first places and also Larissa for qualifying for Regionals.
