LEICESTER, Mass. --- The Becker College football team placed seven student-athletes on the Commonwealth Coast Football Academic All-Conference Team, as announced by the league office last week in the Hawks' first season competing in the CCC.
Becker sophomore linebacker Michael Bianco (Manorville, N.Y.), the CCC Football Defensive Player of the Year, headlined the recipients for the Hawks. Other Becker players to make the team included junior Zachary Larkin (Glen Riddle, Pa.), sophomore Bayley Makloski (Fort Collins, Colo.), senior Brandon Mole (Bovina, N.Y.), sophomore Robert Pellerin (Gorham, Maine), junior Nicholas Rogerson (Pomfret, Conn.) and sophomore Khalil Sims (Coral Springs, Fla.).
In order to be recognized as a member of the CCC Academic All-Conference Team, a student-athlete must have attained at least sophomore status and maintained an overall cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
In total, 147 student-athletes from the CCC - which includes Becker College, Curry College, Endicott College, Nichols College, Salve Regina University and Western New England University - collected Academic All-Conference Team accolades earlier today.
