Coach Gerardi is the most experienced coach on the Becker staff, with 13 total years of knowledge.

Coach Gerardi's career started as an defensive end for the University of New Haven.  After playing and starting four years and being awarded the team’s most improved player award his junior year, he became an assistant coach at New Haven, where he served until 1986.  After focusing on a thriving business career throughout the 90's, he re-entered the coaching ranks in 2009 as the linebackers coach here at Becker.

Coach Gerardi graduated from the University of New Haven in 1979 with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and continued his education at that institution and receiving his MBA-Finance in 1986.  In his business career he has worked in construction management and currently is employed in the power generation industry.

In 2010, Coach Gerardi helped Chris Williams earn second team ECFC honors with 2 sacks and 9.5 tackles for loss. Chris was the first freshman at Becker to achieve that honor. While Williams garnered most of the attention, the entire defensive line showed vast development.

Coach Gerardi’s on and off the field football philosophy consists of effort, toughness, knowledge, sacrifice and dealing with adversity to attain goal of graduating self-sufficient young men that impact society.
