Field Hockey Shutout by WPI

Leicester, Mass. -WPI held Becker to just one shot on net, as the Engineers rolled to a 2-0 win in women's field hockey action.

WPI scored their first goal 41:45 into the contest, when senior  Kelly Johnson (Buxton, ME) blasted a shot from ten yards out into the left corner of the net. Engineers secured the victory, when Maggie Wigley(Bridgewater, Mass) and Celena Dopart (Washington, DC) set up Kelly Johnson for her second score off another blast from outside the ten yard line.

Allie Griffin (Billerica, Mass) made one save to improve to 4-1 on the season. The Engineers as a team are now 5-1 overall.

Nakita Gosselin (Springfield, VT) made eight saves in a losing effort. The Hawks fell to 1-5 on the season.
