The Hawks finished the regular season with a 13-1 conference record, including a perfect 7-0 record at home. Junior forward Rajai Leggett (New Haven, Conn.) led the Hawks with 406 points, averaging 16.2 points per game. Leggett also cleaned up underneath the basket, pulling down 205 rebounds. The 2009 NECC Rookie of the Year Terrance Favors (Boston, Mass) is second on the team with 367 points, averaging 14.7 points per game. Favors leads the Hawks with 90 assists.  Junior Trae Jacobs (Lexington Park, MD) scored his 1000th career point during this past season. Jacobs averaged 14.2 points per game and is second on the team with 136 rebounds. DeJohn Joseph- Exum (New London, Conn) came on strong for the Hawks in the second half of the season. 2.) Elms College (19-6, 12-2 NECC)
  

2009 NECC Champions

The Blazers are led by head coach Ed Silva, who is in his ninth season at Elms College. The Blazers won the 2009 NECC Championship and advanced the NCAA tournament. Elms comes into the tournament riding a six game winning streak.  Senior guard Juan Maldonado (Holyoke, Mass) leads the Blazers with 441 points, averaging 17.6 points per game. Maldonado also leads Elms with 81 assists and 54 steals. Senior forward Javon Mathis (East Harford, Conn) is second on the team with 316 points, averaging 12.6 points per game. Mathis also pulled down a team best 201 rebounds. Junior forward Edgar Martinez (Springfield, Mass) is the third leading scorer on the Blazers with 248 points, averaging just under ten points per game. Click here to view season statistics

3.) Wheelock College (18-10, 8-6 NECC)

The Wildcats are led by head coach John Preziosa. Preziosa is in his third season at Wheelock College. The Wildcats are led by senior captain Sherard Robbins (Malden, Mass.), with 406 points and 245 rebounds. Robbins also leads the team with 33 blocked shots. Fellow captain Dan Main (Hopedale, Mass) is second on the team with 338 points, averaging 13.5 points per game. Sophmore guard Alexander (Max) Kaim (Fort Lauderdale, Fla) is first on the team with 82 assists. Kaim is third on the team with 280 points on the season. Sophomore center Eric Rice (Woburn, Mass) has played a significant role in the Wildcats success, averaging over ten points per game. Click here to view season statistics

5.) Lesley University (9-17, 5-9 NECC)

The Lynx are led by head coach Donald Morris. Morris is in his fourth season at helm at Lesley University. The Lynx are carried by junior center Jesus Trejo (Methuen, Mass), with 364 points, 286 rebounds and 21 blocked shots. Sophomore point guard John Sanchez (Carson, Calif) is second the team with 232 points. Sanchez leads the lynx with 106 assists. Sophomore guard Bryant Itonyo (Medford, Mass) is third on the team with 199 points.
