Men's Basketball Outlasts Daniel Webster 77-66
Leicester, Mass.-Becker College got double-doubles from both Rajai Leggett (New Haven, Conn.) and Marcus Wright (New Haven, Conn.) as the Hawks defeated Daniel Webster 77-66 in New England Collegiate Conference men's basketball action.
In the first half Becker gave up two double digit leads as Daniel Webster went to the locker room with a 42-39 advantage. Chris Hanson (Salem, Mass.) led the Eagles with 11 first-half points, shooting three for three from beyond the arch.
Becker took the lead for good 15:04 into the second half and never looked back. Terrance Favors (Boston, Mass.) and Markus Wright led the Hawks with 17 points each. Rajai Leggett finished with 16 points. DJ Exum (New London, Conn.) finished with ten points. With the win the Hawks improved to 15-8 overall and 11-1 in the NECC. Becker will host Newbury College tomorrow night at 7pm.
Chris Hanson led the Eagles with 17 points, going five for seven from three point range. Adam Landry (Vernon, Conn.) chipped in with 11 points. Daniel Webster is now 8-14 overall and 4-8 in the NECC.
