LEICESTER, Mass. --- Sophomore guard Kareem Davis (Lowell, Mass. / St. John's) buried a school-record nine three-pointers as the Becker College men's basketball team won 77-60 over visiting Elms College on Thursday night at the Leicester Gymnasium.

The Hawks of Becker (14-5, 10-0 NECC) remain the sole undefeated team in the New England Collegiate Conference, in sole possession of first place in the latest standings. Davis broke his previous school record eight three-pointers in a single game, shooting nine of thirteen from behind the arc. Senior guard Kyle Credle (Queens, N.Y. / Benjamin N. Cardozo) posted a double-double with 22 points, ten rebounds and six assists. Freshman forward Antonio White Jr. (Middletown, Conn. / Middletown) came off the bench to score 11 points and eight rebounds, while freshman forward Donzell Cunningham (Linden, N.J. / Piscataway) contributed seven points and six rebounds. Junior forward Samuel Durodola (Rosedale, N.Y. / Campus Magnet) finished with six points and seven rebounds in just 18 minutes.

The Blazers of Elms (4-15, 4-8 NECC) were led by senior Symon Smith (Oklahoma City, Okla. / (Star Spencer/Lamar C.C.)) with 23 points, five points and five assists. Junior guard Keeshaun King (Jacksonville, Fla. (Bishop Kenny)) came off the bench to score 15 points off five three-pointers, while senior forward Conny Ihearahu (Largo, Md. (Largo)) had a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards.

After trading the lead back and forth for much of the first half, Credle buried two jumpers late including one off an offensive rebound at the buzzer to put the Hawks ahead 36-27 going into halftime. Down by as much as 14 early in the second period, the Blazers rallied to pull to within six after a three from King with 11:53 remaining and Becker leading 51-45. But the Hawks answered with a 9-0 run capped off with a layup from Durodola and they would pull away down the stretch.

The Hawks of Becker are back on the court on Saturday when they host Lesley University at 1:00 p.m. The Blazers of Elms play their next game at Western New England on Monday at 7:00 p.m.
