Pink The Rink

Marlboro, Mass. - Tonight the Hawks celebrated an inaugural "PINK THE RINK" night, to raise breast cancer awareness. Becker donned a commemorative pink sweater in memory of JoAnne M. Sullivan the late wife of associate coach Walter Sullivan, who passed away from breast cancer in the fall of 2008. Each jersey had the initials JMS on the left chest.

A ceremonial puck drop featured Becker College student and Mrs. Sullivan's daughter Meaghan Sullivan. Meaghan was accompanied by her brother Patrick Sullivan. 

Each player made a donation for their own jersey and lucky fans could order one of the unique jerseys and purchase special pink and white t-shirts. Tonight they raised over $3,500. All proceeds raised will go to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure charity.
