Parkhouse and Johnson Carry Ice Hawks Past Johnson & Wales

 Marlborough, Mass.- Becker College scored three third period goals, in route to a 5-2 win over Johnson & Wales in men's ECAC Northeast hockey action.

Becker got the scoring started 3:23 into the game when Nate Sayer (Dracut, Mass) took a feed from Ron Pavia (Rehoboth, Mass) for his second goal of the season. The Wildcats answered back 2:15 later when sophomore Tony Galante (Buffalo, NY) scored his first goal of the season, on an assist from Jeremiah Ketts (Foristell, MO).  Johnson & Wales took the lead when Freshman Trevor Jewell (Belgrade, Mont.) scored a power play goal.

Becker tied the game with 2:05 remaining in the second period, when Branden Parkhouse (Rancho Cucamongo, Calif.) and Robert Johnson (Fenton, Mich.) set up Patrick Bellew (Newington, Conn) for his fourth goal of the season.

The Hawks took the lead when Jeremy Narducci (Apex, NC) opened the period with a power play goal, making the score 3-2. Becker got their second power play goal 5:30 into the period, when Branden Parkhouse redirected a Don Kane (Staten Island, NY) Shot, putting the Hawks ahead 4-2. The Hawks blew the game open when Robert Johnson ripped a point blank shot past Johnson & Wales goalie JR Woodland, Picton Ontario).

JR Woodland made 33 saves in the loss. Johnson & Wales fell to 2-5 overall and 2-2 in the ECAC Northeast.

Senior goalie Tony Stoehr (De Pere Wisc) made 35 saves in the victory. Becker improved to 4-5-1 overall and 3-2 in the ECAC Northeast.
