Ice Hawks Claw Past Salve 2-0

Marlborough, Mass.- Becker College scored two third period goals on their way to a 2-0 win over Salve Regina in ECAC Northeast men's hockey action.

The Hawks got on the board 9:15 into the third period when Corey Bellamy (Westfield, Mass.) scored eight seconds into the Hawks eighth power-play of the evening. Bellamy was assisted by Mike Caprio (Valencia, Calif.) and Jeremy Narducci (Apex, NC.). The Hawks put the game out of reach at 13:17 when Nate Sayer (Dracut, Mass.) scored on an assist from Brain Murray (Manalapan, NJ).

Salve Regina goalie Ben Bradley (Newburyport, Mass.) made 36 saves in the loss. The Seahawks are now 1-14 overall and 0-5 in the ECAC Northeast.

Becker goalie Jake Rosenthal (Wantagh, NY) made 25 saves for his second shutout of the season. The Hawks are now 8-7-1 overall and 4-2 in the ECAC Northeast.
