Men's Lacrosse Wins 6th Straight


Bangor, ME - The Becker College Hawks used a late surge to edge the Husson University Eagles in a Men's Lacrosse game at Husson University on Saturday.  Alec Abrahamson (Fy. Dedham, MA) of Becker scored with 1:17 remaining to tie the game at nine a piece.  With 41 seconds left Becker would score again on a Josh Fask (Jr. Worcester, MA) goal, assisted by Alec Abrahamson (Dedham, Mass.).  Becker would go on to win 10-9.

The game went back and forth throughout the whole game.  Becker scored three of the first four goals of the game, but with 2:15 left in the first quarter Sam Smith (Fy. Rockport, ME) would score on an assist from Kyle Dwyer (Fy. Brunswick, ME) to bring the Eagles within one, after one quarter of play.  The Eagles would outscore the Hawks 2-1 in the second quarter on a goal by Anthony Diaz (Fy. Brunswick, ME) and Nick Brown (Fy. Sabattus, ME), bringing the score to four all at half time.

With the game tied 6-6 in the fourth quarter, the Eagles would look to take control as they scored two goals to go ahead 8-6 with 10:30 remaining.  The Hawks would bring the game to within one with 7:31 left, however the Eagles would respond with a goal by Dwyer with 5:40 left.  The Hawks would go on to score the last two goals of the game to take the victory.
