Men's Lacrosse Sunk By Vikings
Salem, MA – Robert Mulroy’s (Swampscott, MA) four
point, two-goal, two-assist day led the Salem State Vikings to a
13-5 victory over the Becker College Hawks on Thursday night at
Alumni Field .
The Vikings improve to 8-5 on the season. The Hawks season
record now stands at 6-8.
Salem State goaltender Brendan Gill (Chelmsford, MA) stopped ten of
fifteen shots to pick up the victory. Becker counterpart,
Ryan Murphy (Attleboro, MA) recorded nine saves in the
loss.
Salem State had three players score three-goals
apiece. Brandon Cali (Leominster, MA) , Justin Jones (Danvers,
MA) and Michael Parisella (Davers, MA) led a balanced scoring
attack combinong for nine scores. Ryan Gendreau (Danvers, MA) and
Kyle Dolan (North Andover, MA) each tallied a goal.
Becker shooter Aaron Fill (Ladner, British Columbia) scored two
goals. His teammates Josh Fask (Worcester, MA), John Bourque
(Atkinson, NH), and Joe Ignagni (Kingston, MA) each
tallied one goal.
The Vikings defense clamped down on the high-powered Hawk offense
in the first half. Coach Eaton’s stingy squad forced four
turnovers in the first half and allowed seven total shots on net.
The Salem State offense did not commit a single turnover in the
course of the game.
