Four Men's Lacrosse Players Make GNAC All Conference Team
Leicester, Mass.- In their inaugural season in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference the Becker College men's lacrosse team secured four spots on the All Conference Team.
Freshman David Deschenes (Gales Ferry, Conn.) got first team recognition after leading the Hawks with 48 goals and 21 assists. The 48 goals set a Becker College record for tallies in a single season. Joining Deschenes on the first team is senior defender John Malcolm (Townsend, Mass.). Malcolm played a pivotal in the Hawks defense, causing 25 turnovers, while scooping up 65 groundballs.
Sophomores Jeff Petersen (Syracuse, N.Y.) and Joe Ignagni (Kingston, Mass.) earned GNAC second team recognition. Petersen was second on the team with 40 goals, but led the Hawks with 29 assists. Ignagni finished the year third on the team in goals with 32, while chipping in with 16 assists. Click here to view the entire GNAC All Conference Teams.
