Men's Soccer Outlasted By Emerson

Emerson got a late goal from Mike Giles, as the Lions defeated Becker 2-1 in non-conference men's soccer action.

Mike Giles (Wakefield, RI) put the Lions on the board when he drove a shot just past the dive of Becker goalkeeper Aaron Fill (Ladner, BC).  The Hawks tied the game at 19:49 of the first half, when Ryan Singh (Elmont, NY) scored his fourth goal of the season.

The two teams were held scoreless from the majority of the second half, until Mike Giles scored his second goal of the game with just over ten minutes left in regulation.

Nick Strauss (Norwood, Mass) made two saves, as the Lions improved to 4-6 on the season. Aaron Fill made six saves in a losing effort. The Hawks fell to 2-10-1 overall.
