Softball comes up short against Trinity

CLERMONT, Fla. --- The Becker College softball lost the final two games of their spring break trip at the PFX Spring Games Tournament in Clermont, Florida. The Hawks lost a heart-breaking 5-4 game to Trinity College before falling 9-1 to Lawrence University.

Becker junior pitcher Samantha Belenchia (Ansonia, Conn. / Ansonia) had a strong day at the plate, going three-for-five with two doubles and two runs batted in. Junior catcher Megan Klemanchuck (Pawtucket, R.I. / William E. Tolman) also posted three hits and an RBI, while freshman Sarah Ellis (Berkley, Mass. / Bristol County Agricultural) had two hits and drove in a run.

The Hawks now fly back up north. Their next scheduled game will be on Saturday, March 24th when the team travels to Regis College for a 10:00 a.m. double-header.
