Mount Ida Gallops Past Lady Hawks

Leicester, Mass.- Senior Nicole Casimiro (Lee, NH) scored a game-high 23 points, as Mount Ida defeated Becker College 68-60 in women's basketball action.

In the first half, the Mustangs never relinquished their advantage, holding leads as large as 13 points. Mount Ida took 36-27 lead into the locker room at halftime. Becker opened the second half with nine unanswered points, including six straight by Freshman Nicole Morse (Alton, NH). The Hawks could only muster a two point lead, before the Mustangs galloped back and regained control of the game.

Sophomore Katie Morvan (Northbridge, Mass.)  Chipped in with 12 points, as the Mustangs improved to 3-3 overall.

Heidi Miller (Sanborton, NH) was one of three Hawks who scored double figures. Miller finished the evening with 21 points and seven rebounds. Nicole Morse and Courtney Fiske (Westfield, Mass.) had ten points each in the loss. Fiske also pulled down ten rebounds, earning her first double-double of the season

The Hawks fell to 0-4 on the season.
