Women's Ice Hockey rallies past Post, 2-1

WORCESTER, Mass. --- The Becker College women's ice hockey team won 2-1 over visiting Post University on Tuesday night at the Fidelity Worcester Ice Center.

The Eagles of Post (2-15-2) sophomore forward Molly Brumfield (Columbus, Ohio / Pittsburgh Penguins Elite) got the scoring started just 9:19 into the game on a short-handed goal, assisted by sophomore forward Julia Schatz (East Haven, Conn. / Branford Hornets). Freshman goalie Danaée St-Germain (Metcalfe, Ontario / Ontario Hockey Academy) finished with 47 saves.

The Hawks of Becker (3-12-2) found the equalizer with 2:05 remaining in the first, as junior forward Brittany Aiello (Franklin Park, Ill. / Team Illinois) scored her first goal of the season, assisted by sophomore forward Christie Gray (Oxford, Ohio / Culver Girls Academy). Then 4:44 into the second period, sophomore defender Samantha Talmadge (Hamden, Conn. / Hamden) gave the Hawks the lead with her first goal of the year, assisted by Aiello. Junior goalie Madison Rigsby (O'Fallon, Mo. / Dallas Stars Elite) finished with 21 saves.

Becker is back on the ice on Friday when they travel to Endicott College for a 7:00 p.m. game. Post plays their next game on Friday when they host Sacred Heart at 8:15 p.m.
