Women's Hockey Falls To Canton In CHC Quarterfinals

Julia Johnson made 49 saves in a loss to Morrisville State

CANTON, N.Y. – The Becker College women's ice hockey team fell to SUNY Canton 2-0 in the quarterfinals of the Colonial Hockey Conference tournament on Saturday evening. The Hawks wrap-up their season with a record of 4-19-3.

Junior goaltender Julia Johnson (Littleton, Colo.) kept the Hawks in the game with 39 saves.

The game was scoreless until the 3:40 mark of the third period when Whitney Bernier got a shot past Johnson for the 1-0 lead.

The Kangaroos secured their spot in the CHC Semifinals when Tess Adams scored on an empty net with 30 seconds remaining.
