Lady Hawks Dropped By Eagles
Leicester, Mass. – The Becker College women’s lacrosse team dropped an 18-4 decision to the Eagles of Husson University today at Alumni Field. Husson picks up their first win of the season for a 1-0 record while Becker evens their record at 1-1.
Brooke Cote (Fitchburg, Mass.) led the Lady Hawks with 2 goals. Morgan Hazen (Woodstock, VT) had a goal and an assist while Nicole Lijana (Moorestown, NJ) had one goal.
The Eagles were led by seniors Alex Huffman (North Hampton, NH) who had 5 goals on 8 shots on net and Shelby Bradford (Lee, ME) who tallied 7 points (4 goals, 3 assists) in the game. Midfielder Caitlyn Butterfield (Gorham, ME) chipped in a hat trick and a helper for 4 points.
Becker goaltender Lindsay Peluso (Dudley, Mass.) made 21 saves in the loss, and Nikki Burns (S. Berwick, ME) and Kristen Capen (Leeds, ME) combined for 15 saves for Husson.
