Women’s Lacrosse Drops 22-14 Decision To St. Joe’s

Leicester, Mass.- Senior Lauren Hagerman (Scarborough, ME.) scored her 100th career goal as St. Joseph’s College defeated Becker College 22-14 in women’s lacrosse action.

Along with her 100th career goal, Hagerman added seven additional goals and two assists in the win.  Alyssa Marchant (Wakefield, Mass.) and Amelia Santos (Beverly, Mass.) scored three goals each as the Monks improved to 4-0-1 overall. Saint Joseph’s goalie Taylor Allison (Pawtucket, RI) made 15 saves in the victory.

Despite taking an early 3-1 advantage on the Monks, Becker never regained the lead after Erika Waterhouse (South Portland, ME.) put Saint Joseph’s the ahead for good with 14:09 remaining in the first half.  The Monks put the game out of reach when Alyssa Marchant scored two goals while Saint Joseph’s played with a one man advantage.

Sophomore Nicole Lijana (Moorestown, NJ.) led the Hawks with nine goals on 16 shots.  Morgan Hazen (Woodstock, VT) chipped in with four goals and two assists. Becker goalie Lindsay Peluso (Dudley, Mass.) made 12 saves in a losing effort. With the loss the Hawks fell to 1-3 on the season.
