Lady Hakws Get NEWLA Win

Leicester, Mass.- The Becker College Lady Hawks defeated Elms College 21-8 in New England Women’s Lacrosse Alliance action today at Alumni Field for their first conference win. Becker improves to 5-8 (1-5 NEWLA) while Elms remains winless at 0-13 (0-5 NEWLA).

Hawks sophomore Morgan Hazen (Woodstock, VT) tallied 6 goals and 3 assists for nine points in the win.  

On Senior Day all three seniors were on the score sheet. Renee Landry (Acton, ME.) had a hat trick, Jennifer Ouellette (Merrimack, NH) and Nicole Kosinski (Westport, Conn.) each had two scores.

Goalkeeper Lindsay Peluso (Dudley, Mass.) had 13 saves in the win.

Elms was led by Chelsey Grabowski (South Hadley, Mass.) and Katlyn Harrington (East Longmeadow, Mass.) who had three goals each. Krystyna Gagne (Methuen, Mass.) had 20 saves in the loss.

Becker outshot Elms 48-30 and held a 24-15 edge in groundballs.
