Anthony Cosky enters his second season at the helm of the women’s soccer program in 2018.
Becker had a good season in Cosky’s first year finishing with an 11-10 overall record and 5-3 in the conference. Some of the highlights were beating Framingham State in double overtime, competing with defending champion Elms losing only 2-1 in the last five minutes, and finally making it to the NECC Semi-Finals losing to eventual champion Lesley. The Hawks had five players named to the NECC All-Conference teams. Lindsey Keith made the first team after leading the conference in goals with 21. She was also named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region Third Team. Ciara McKissick made the 2nd team for the third straight year and Jojo Martel had the best season of her career making her first appearance on the second team. Kyra Teixeira and Meghan Bealka were named to the third team. The team also received the Bronze Award for Ethics and Sportsmanship from the United Soccer Coaches.
Before coming to Becker, Cosky was an Assistant at WPI in the spring and before that, he was the Assistant Women’s Coach at Assumption College for three years helping lead them to the NCAA Tournament in his first year while also winning the conference regular season championship for the first time in program history. He coached an All-American and many players who made all-region and all-conference teams. In his three years, the team had an overall record of 33-22-3.
Cosky has been involved with the Olympic Development program as an assistant for two years (one with the U12 girls and one with the U13 girls). He has been coaching club soccer for the past 10 years at various clubs and is currently coaching with GPS Fortis FC. He was also a high school coach for eight years at various schools. He has also been coaching private lessons and running clinics for the past five years.
Cosky has been a member of the United Soccer Coaches organization for 10+ years and has dedicated many hours to coaching education courses and workshops. He currently has the United Soccer Coaches Premier Diploma, Director of Coaching Diploma, Level 3 Goalkeeper Diploma, and a USSF Youth License.
Cosky is a substitute teacher at Oxford High School. Besides club coaching, he recently finished his first season as the Head Coach of the Worcester Smiles who play in the United Women’s Soccer league.
Cosky currently resides in Boylston with his wife Pamela, stepdaughter Stasia, and son Sebastian.
