Nessen, Connolly & Bostick Earn Major NECC Honors

Becker senior Megan Nessen was chosen as the New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Year in a vote by the conference coaches. Nessen posted a 14-2 record in conference competition at #1 singles and doubles this season. Nessen was honored as a first team selection as both a singles and a doubles player. Nessen finished her career at Becker College with a record of 84-30.

Becker freshman Nicole Connolly earned conference Rookie of the Year honors. Connolly went undefeated in number two singles action this season (8-0) and went 1-0 in number one doubles and 6-1 in number two doubles. Connolly finished her freshman campaign with an overall record of 15-1.  

Joining Nessen and Connolly with NECC First Team honors were senior teammates Laura Mimms and Shauna McNally. Mimms earned First Team honors in both singles and doubles action. McNally paired up with Nicole Connolly to earn the honors for their success in doubles play.

For the second time in four years, David Bostick was named NECC Coach of the Year after leading the Hawks to an unbeaten regular season and third consecutive NECC title.

NECC all-conference selections are determined by a vote of the conference coaches.
