Women's Volleyball splits at MCLA

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. --- The Becker College women's volleyball team split two matches at the MCLA Tri-Match in North Adams on Saturday afternoon.

The Hawks (5-3) triumphed over Bay Path University in straight sets (25-21, 25-18, 25-18) before falling short in five to the host Trailblazers (18-25, 25-22, 21-25, 25-16, 13-15).

Becker junior outside hitter Sofia Cullina (Deep River, Conn. / Valley Regional) finished with 16 kills in eight sets with 42 digs (5.25 per set), six total blocks and two aces.

Senior middle blocker Kayla Dupree (North Bergen, N.J. / Bronx High School of Science) had 13 kills, three aces and seven total blocks.

Junior setter Olivia McGuinness (Colchester, Conn. / Bacon Academy) posted 43 set assists, nine aces and 33 digs.

Junior right-side hitter Morgan Gould (North Attleboro, Mass. / Tri-County) tallied 41 digs.

Becker is back in action next Saturday where they open their New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) schedule at Lesley in a 1:00 p.m. game.
