Women's Volleyball digs past Mariners in four

NEW LONDON, Conn. --- The Becker College women's volleyball team won in four sets at Mitchell College on Saturday afternoon t the Yarnall Athletic Center. Set scores were 25-22, 25-21, 27-29, 25-22 in favor of the Hawks.

STANDOUT PERFORMERS
• Junior middle blocker Gillian Criddle (Earleville, Md. / Bohemia Manor) tallied a team-high 14 kills with a solo block.
• Freshman libero Joanna Bampi (Peabody, Mass. / Peabody Veterans Memorial) led the defense with a career-high 39 digs.
• Senior middle blocker Kayla Dupree (North Bergen, N.J. / Bronx High School of Science) finished with 11 kills, five digs, one ace and one block.
• Freshman setter Jenna Savoie (Charlton, Mass. / Shepard Hill) had 30 set assists and 19 digs.
• Junior right-side hitter Morgan Gould (North Attleboro, Mass. / Tri-County) finished with nine kills and 20 digs.
• Senior outside hitter Veronica Patella-Quinones (Tampa, Fla. / Lake Mary) tacked on five kills and 28 digs.

Becker will be back on the court on Monday when they travel to Lesley University for a 7:00 p.m. match.
