Senior forward Samuel Durodola (Rosedale, N.Y. / Campus Magnet) and junior guard Kareem Davis (Lowell, Mass. / St. John's) of the Becker College men's basketball team have been voted to the 2017-2018 New England Collegiate Conference All-Conference first team.
The duo led the Hawks to a 14-11 regular season record and the number two seed in the NECC Championship Tournament. Becker came up just short in the finals at Southern Vermont on Saturday, falling 67-62.
Durodola averaged 22.7 points and 8.8 rebounds per game this season, shooting 49 percent from the floor. Four times this season, he has been recognized as the NECC Player of the Week, and four times he has likewise been recognized as the WACBA Player of the Week. The senior finishes his storied career with 1699 career points, the most ever by a Hawk since Becker joined the NCAA.
Davis averaged 20 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game, shooting 37 percent from behind the three-point arc. On January 3rd, the junior became the 19th player in Becker history to reach 1000 points for his career. Davis ranked fourth in the nation in minutes per game at 38:57 per contest.
Junior forward Bernard Broaster (Pembroke Pines, Fla. / Charles W. Flanagan) was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
