DARTMOUTH, Mass. --- The Becker College men's basketball team lost 88-46 at UMass Dartmouth on Thursday night at the Tripp Athletic Center in Dartmouth, Massachusetts.

• Becker senior forward Dewayne Thomas (Lowell, Mass. / Lowell) scored a career-high 28 points, shooting 13-of-17 from the floor.
• Becker senior guard Kareem Davis (Lowell, Mass. / St. John's) finished with five points
• Becker junior forward Antonio White Jr. (Middletown, Conn. / Middletown) led the Hawks in rebounding with five.

• Senior Atakan Akcam (Ankara, Turkey) scored 17 points, grabbed six rebounds and recorded four steals to lead the Corsairs. Freshman Adam Seablom (Lakeville, Mass.) added a career-high 15 points, five rebounds and four assists on the night for the Corsairs, who received 14 points (including four three-pointers), five boards and three assists from sophomore Jake Ashworth (Fairhaven, Mass.). Senior Arinze Obiora (Hyde Park, Mass.) collected 11 points and six caroms for the winners, who received 10 points and five helpers from freshman Marcus Azor (Brockton, Mass.) to round out the quintet of double figure scorers. Sophomore Patrick Gavin (Beverly, Mass.) chipped in with eight points for UMass Dartmouth, which also received seven points and three rebounds from freshman Sean Leahy (Hanson, Mass.). Junior Marquis Jones (Braintree, Mass.) netted four points, four caroms, three assists and three steals for the Corsairs, who shot 56 percent (37-66) from the floor overall and canned 10 three-pointers. The hosts scored 53 points in the paint and netted 27 of the 29 combined fast break points in the contest.

• The Corsairs jumped out to a 16-2 lead and never looked back, going into halftime with a 29 point lead.

The Hawks will look to bounce back on Saturday when they travel to Eastern Nazarene College for a 1:00 p.m. game in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) play. The Corsairs, meanwhile, play host to UMass Boston on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
