Dean drops Men's Lacrosse in NECC opener

LEICESTER, Mass. ---- The Becker College men's lacrosse team lost 19-5 to visiting Dean College in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) opener for both teams on Saturday afternoon at Alumni Field on the Becker campus in Leicester.

• Freshman attacker Louis Piccolo (Foxboro, Mass. / Foxboro) led Dean with six goals and two assists with two ground balls.
• Senior attacker Anthony Trasacco (Cheshire, Conn. / Cheshire) scored four goals with two assists and three caused turnovers.
• Senior attacker Brody Fredericks (Weare, N.H. / John Stark Regional) dished out a game-high five assists with two goals.
• Freshman attacker Joshua Harrison (Townsend, Mass. / North Middlesex Regional) and junior attacker Nate Burcroff (Lakeville, Conn. / Housatonic Valley) each tallied a pair of goals each.
• Sophomore midfielder Zach D'Angelo (Chelmsford, Mass. / Chelmsford) finished with one goal and one assists, while freshman midfielder Nick Dunn (Medford, Mass. / Medford) and freshman midfielder Tyler Friedlaender (Mashpee, Mass. / Cape Cod Academy) both scored as well.
• Senior defender Westley Reel (Lakeville, Conn. / Housatonic Valley) and freshman midfielder Kobe Welch-Porter (Leander, Texas / Rouse) both tallied six ground balls each.
• Freshman goalkeeper Alex Govoni (Lakeville, Mass. / Bishop Stang) recorded five saves in 30 minutes of the game.

• Freshman attacker Cameron Sangster (Columbus, Ohio / Olentangy) led the Hawks with two goals and two assists.
• Freshman midfielder Tyler Forest (Simi Valley, Calif. / Royal) tallied two goals and an assist.
• Sophomore attacker Mitchell Eldridge (Bourne, Mass. / Bourne) finished with one goal.
• Senior long stick middle Lewis Jaworski (Cambridge, Mass. / Cambridge Rindge & Latin) recorded six ground balls.
• Freshman goalkeeper Daniel Whittenburg (Eastford, Conn. / Woodstock Academy) went the distance for the Hawks, recording 20 saves.

The Hawks are back on the field on Wednesday when they travel to Albertus Magnus College for a 7:00 p.m. The Bulldogs host New England College on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
