LEICESTER, Mass. – Mark Wirth has been named the new Becker men's lacrosse head coach, as announced by Vice President of Student Affairs and Director of Athletics, Frank Millerick, Thursday afternoon.
"I am excited to welcome Mark Wirth to the Becker College community as the new head men's lacrosse coach," commented Millerick. "Mark's experience in coaching and recruiting has positioned him for this role, and I look forward to seeing him enhance the men's lacrosse program."
"I would like the thank Director of Athletics Frank Millerick, and Assistant Athletic Director Andrea Belis for giving me the opportunity to lead a program and believing in the vision and bright future I have for the Becker College men's lacrosse," stated Wirth. "My family and I are very excited to join the Hawk family and getting right to work."
Wirth comes to Becker from Connecticut College where he spent the last two seasons as the assistant men's lacrosse coach. As an assistant he saw all aspects of the program - from coaching to recruiting to strength & conditioning of the Camels men's lacrosse team. Prior to his experience at Connecticut College, Wirth was the Director of Lacrosse Operations at Lehigh where he assisted with organizing team events, building relationships with the community, recruiting, team travel, and also ran the social media accounts. He also has coached at the U-9 level for HEADstrong Lehigh Valley.

Prior to beginning his professional career, Wirth played on the men's lacrosse team at Lock Haven from 2012-15 as a faceoff specialist and defensive midfielder. A native of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, he earned his bachelor's degree in sport administration from Lock Haven University in 2016 as well as his master's in the same discipline from the institution in 2018.
