Men's Soccer can’t stop Lesley in NECC opener

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. --- The Becker College men's soccer team lost 3-0 at Lesley University on Saturday afternoon at Buckingham Browne & Nichols Field in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It was the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) opener for both teams.

FOR THE HAWKS
• Junior goalkeeper Sam Majewski (Warren, Mass. / Quaboag Regional Middle) put forth a valiant effort in net, tallying eight saves in 90 minutes.
• Freshman midfielder Derrick Audain (North Brunswick, N.J. / North Brunswick Township) led Becker with a team-high four shots, all of them on-goal.
• Sophomore midfielder Seidon Nemeth (St. Thomas, Virgin Islands / Niwot) had three shots, two of them on goal.

FOR THE LYNX
• Senior defender Ben Heischuber (Holliston, Mass. / Holliston) scored the first goal of the game on an unassisted blast just 21:31 into the first period.
• Senior midfielder Gerry Chica (Wallingford, Conn. / Mark T. Sheehan) scored an insurance goal for Lesley at 28:56 off a chip shot.
• Finally, senior midfielder Beowulf Urban (Blue Hills, Maine / George Stevens Academy) scored off a free kick for the final goal.
• Senior goalkeeper David Crutchfield (Shrewsbury, Mass. / Shrewsbury) tallied eight saves for a shutout.
• Lesley outshot Becker, 29-16.

UP NEXT
The Hawks are back on the field on Tuesday when they travel to Nichols College for a 3:30 p.m. game.
