Dowdy, Harrison lead Women’s Hoops over Bay Path

HOLYOKE, Mass. ---- The Becker College women's basketball team was victorious at Bay Path College on Saturday, winning 61-41 in Holyoke.


With the victory, the Hawks of Becker (6-7 / 6-1 NECC) take sole possession of second place in the current NECC standings, their best start in the history of the program. The Wildcats of Bay Path are now 1-11 overall and 0-7 against conference opponents.


Becker sophomore forward Adrianna Dowdy (East Haven, Conn. / Hill Regional Career) posted her third double-double in five games, scoring 24 points and pulling down 11 boards. Freshman guard Cassidy Harrison (Foxborough, Mass. / Foxborough) finished with 16 points. Sophomore guard Ciara McKissick (Charlton, Mass. / Shepherd Hill Regional) pulled down a game-high 17 rebounds with eight points and two steals.


Senior guard Brenna Roy (Stafford Springs, Conn. / Stafford Springs High School) led the Wildcats with 17 points.


The Hawks of Becker are back on the court next Saturday when they travel to Mitchell College to play the Mariners in a 1:00 p.m. game. The Wildcats of Bay Path head to Lesley University on Monday for a 5:00 p.m. game.
